PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead talent acquisition best practice process related to pre and post-hire assessment tools

Participate in the recruitment planning process for GSD globally. Contribute to the development of recruitment calendars and recruitment materials. Represent Life Sciences Solutions Group at job fairs, open houses, college recruitment tours, diversity outreach events, etc.

Participate in the retention planning process of GSD. Provide input regarding positions that are difficult to hire or retain and assist in implementing resolution strategies

Lead, manage and mentor a team of recruiters

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Human Resources, Information Technology or other related discipline is required.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of 10 years of scientific and technical recruiting acumen and experience, including an emphasis in R&D, Software, Application Development and Sequencing platforms, and familiarity with sequencing market space, including understanding of various competitors.

Position Summary
The Vice President of Talent Acquisition reports to CVS Caremark's Senior Vice President of Talent and Organization Effectiveness. The position has responsibility to:
˘Define and lead the Talent Acquisition strategy that enables CVS Caremark to achieve near term business goals and drive success of the long term enterprise growth strategy, and
˘Be an integral part of the broader Talent and Organization Effectiveness agenda that marries talent acquisition and development to holistically drive the talent agenda for the enterprise.

Responsibilities
Essential functions of this role include:
˘Partner with business leaders, HR business partners and finance to define a clear forecast of talent requirements to meet business objectives
˘Lead the central recruiting team, managing productivity, performance and engagement for both the short and long term development of the function
˘Increase effectiveness of executive recruiting function to minimize search firm dependencies
˘Build a dedicated sourcing function to strategically pipeline talent for critical enterprise skill needs
˘Manage the portfolio of outsourced recruiting partners contractually and performance driven to ensure accurate, flexible and cost effective support
˘Partner with dedicated recruiting groups across the enterprise to ensure alignment on strategy and execution
˘Re-align the brand of CVS Caremark with candidates to the colleague value proposition to identify CVS Caremark as an employer of choice
˘Engage managers and colleagues as active recruiting advocates through sustainable sourcing, referrals, and interview participation
˘Establish effective analytics and metrics that will drive immediate and long term decision making and planning for clients, HR and Talent Acquisition
˘Actively participate on the Talent & Organization Effectiveness leadership team to ensure talent acquisition strategies are integrated with the enterprise talent development strategy
˘Drive rigorous budget management and is fiscally responsible in defining clear investment strategies for key near term goals and critical long term initiatives
˘Ensure the CVS Caremark Diversity and Inclusion goals are brought to life throughout the talent acquisition process
˘Maintain processes and practices in compliance with all regulatory requirements
˘Manage network of external recruiting and support partners including contractors, RPOs and Relocation providers

Experience
10-15yrs + of Talent Acquisition leadership experience within a complex business
HR Business partner and/or Talent Management experience
Highly credible relationship builder and partner with senior business and HR executives internally and externally
Strategic focus and curiosity on Talent acquisition as an integral lever within the broader talent management agenda that enables strategic business success
Ability to lead geographically dispersed large direct and indirect teams and global experience
Demonstrated ability lead and develop direct and indirect teams with a high performance mindset, building teams through coaching and mentoring

Experience working in a regulated environment preferred (e.g., Life Sciences, Financial Services, Government/Military)

Education
Bachelors Degree required
Masters in Human Resources, Business Management or related area preferred
